Winner of the 1989 EISNER AWARD for BEST LIMITED SERIES, was this two-issue limited series penned by Stan Lee and beautifully illustrated by European master artist MOEBIUS. Stan Lee, on several occasions has proclaimed that he feels this is the best SILVER STORY he had ever written -- and that's coming from the man who invented the SURFER with Jack Kirby in 1966!

Here, in the two part story later entitled 'PARABLE' , the planet-devourer GALACTUS returns to Earth, creating a wave of panic over the planet. But he promises to bring humanity a new era with him as their god. He grants them freedom from all man-made laws, thus creating mass anarchy. The SILVER SURFER confronts GALACTUS and demands him to honor his past pledge to forever spare Earth from his evil intentions. The Surfer tries to reason with Earthlings not to believe GALACTUS, but they turn on him instead.

But the SURFER is able to show the duplicity and brutality of GALACTUS to the people of Earth, and the cosmic giant realizes Earthlings no longer worship him . . and leaves.

These are great copies of The SILVER SURFER (EPIC) with no faults or blemishes other than the normal effects of age. A true 8.0 VF rating for a 38-year old comic!
