Spider-Man saves a woman from being mugged and wonders why criminals always think they can kill Spider-Man. Elsewhere, Calypso summons the Lizard and makes him go on a killing spree.
Synopsis
Spider-Man swings his webs around the city keeping a close look out for those who need his aid. Later on that night a thug beats up a woman in the face til she gives him here purse. All of a sudden Spider-Man is hovering right above him. The thug tries to shot at him but Spider-Man dodges all of his bullets and then breaks the thugs gun and finishes him off by wrapping him a in a webbed coffin dangling from the street. Spider-Man walks away with the woman. Meanwhile else where in the city in a darkened Sanctuary a mystery person is in the middle of some type of ritual with drums beating in the background. While this is happening, The Lizard rises from the waters of the East River.
Back in Soho, Peter Parker is with Mary Jane in an apartment. Peter tells Mary Jane that he is stunned to the fact that he has been Spider-Man for last few years and fought villains like Doom, Green Goblin, and Venom and still a simple none powerful thug still thinks he can commit crime even with Spider-Man watching the streets. Mary Jane just listens and comforts him which makes Peter feel better.
Meanwhile else where. The Lizard is back roaming the streets. He goes to eat a rat but sees a group of thugs stealing a TV and charges at them. He gores one thug to the ground, He then throws one person into a wall. All of a sudden one man shots a gun at lizard bringing him down. All of a sudden the mystery figure starts the drumming again and the Lizard rises again and rips his claws threw on of the thug's chest.
The next morning Peter gets up and leaves the apartment as Spider-Man not noticing the news paper mentioning the death of the thugs. Elsewhere as it gets dark, Lizard kills another man.
