Collects the entire, series. This isn't a collection I was expecting, and I had only ever read one or two issues before -- a real treat to see such a lovely compiled edition like this. It's face-paced martial arts action featuring a character co-created by O'Neil & Jim Berry for the Dragon's Fists novel. The series debuted other important characters, such as Lady Shiva, Bronze Tiger, and O-Sensei. All would return in the 80's-90's and became staple characters in the DCU.
A fun read, there's nothing too exceptional about O'Neil's stories at this point. Typically there's a new or returning bad guy each issue, and the heroes confront them and stop them short of killing by the end. The most puzzling story is the one illustrated by Kirby (#3), which is so cool as a novelty, but also feels like it comes out of nowhere. I can't remember Kirby ever illustrating a martial arts comic. It's mostly O'Neil/Estrada with occasional pinch-hits by Kraft on scripts (O'Neil edits still).
